Today we’re going to be looking at the eDab HELOS Deluxe Kit, and that means we have a whole lot to cover as the extras in this particular all-inclusive package are extensive. So without further ado, let’s get to it.
First up, the base unit itself. The HELOS is a precision-style concentrate-specific vape pen, meaning that its settings can be very finely tuned to adapt to even the most stubborn of substances such as wax. This is accomplished by the “Spin” 650 mAH variable voltage battery.
Now if you’ve used vape pens before, you know that these types of batteries have different settings which toggle the voltage from lesser to greater, and subsequently can control the amount of vapor that is atomized with each draw. This range is from 3.2 to 4.8 volts, and I am certain there will be a setting that you find agrees most with your personal preference.
The battery is smartly programmed too, in that it has an auto-shutoff heat protection feature that will stop the temperature dead in its tracks so as to allow the heating element to cool back down to safe levels before you have another go. The accidental discharge feature is also very handy and very functional as well. It basically locks and unlocks the device for usage, and the reason it’s so effective is that a total of five pushes on the button are required to cause the desired response.
This translates to a virtual foolproof scenario for even the bumpiest of rides while your pen is on your person. The HELOS cartridge which connects to the Spin battery is constructed of durable borosilicate glass which comprises the dome and contained within, is the ceramic eNail, which offers plenty of space for material and can be easily removed and replaced without having to pony up for an entire new cartridge. Nice.
Now the great thing about buying a kit, means that you usually get plenty of extra goodies, and the eDab HELOS Deluxe is no exception. They give you two eNail replacements right off the bat which means you have a total of 3 nails to run through before you have to shell it out for any replacement parts. That’s the way it’s supposed to be if you ask me. Also included is a full suite of chargers, ranging the gamut from the standard A/C wall plug, to the universal car charger, to the tech-forward USB for the most mobile of vape heads.
One thing I found I really liked about the charging suite was that, the components were not bulky and made for compact transport on the go. It’s little common sense touches like this on the manufacturer’s part that can really make or break the overall impression of a setup, and the folks over at eDab obviously know this. Kudos to them.
Rounding out the package is a very cool lanyard for hands-free transport and a very cool logo-themed t-shirt that tells the world you’re serious about your vapor and you use only the best. The eDab HELOS comes in a variety of assorted colors which include black, blue, pink and red respectively. It is for all the above-stated reasons that at a scant 90ish bucks, is certainly one of the better values in today’s vape pen market. The savvy shopper will see the logic in picking up one of this little baddies, and hopefully that now refers to you dear reader. Cheers.
